Warning and Banning

2026-02-07 · Updated 2026-02-07

Moderators (from v1.4.0) can now issue warnings to users for rule violations, track these warnings over time, and manage bans. Warnings help enforce community standards by recording details—use them fairly and specifically to avoid misunderstandings.

Key Features

  • Warnings: Track user violations with custom reasons (e.g., no vague terms like "bad behaviour"—say why, like "Posted spam links in multiple topics").
  • Tracking: Reasons save automatically so you can audit issues later.
  • Unwarning: Remove warnings if appeals are valid.
  • Bans: Separate from warnings—set as banned if needed after multiple warnings - this disables buttons in discussions
  • View: See a list of warned/banned users in one place.

All features auto-save to the system; no manual data entry needed.

Warning System

Warnings are not public, the moderator should communicate with the offending member using the internal messaging system.

Admin is notified in the Warning / Banning section.

Warning can be revoked.

Warning senior members

Demote to member.

Banning System

The purpose isn't a complete ban, the member's privileges are simply revoked, they can no longer create new posts, reply to posts or edit their own posts.
